Cilantro Noodle

Overview

If you're ever in the mood for a fresh, flavorful twist on classic Asian dishes, Cilantro Noodle in Charlotte is a must-try spot. Located at 2001 Commonwealth Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205, this diner-style restaurant offers a delightful mix of ingredients that make it stand out in the bustling food scene of the city. Whether you're craving something light and fresh or more filling, their menu is packed with options to satisfy every palate.

One of the restaurant's best-selling dishes is their signature cilantro noodle. It's a unique take on the traditional noodle dish, blending the aromatic freshness of cilantro with perfectly cooked noodles and a variety of vegetables. What makes it so special is the way the cilantro isn't just used as a garnish but is integrated into the entire dish, giving it an authentic and refreshing burst of flavor with every bite. The noodles themselves are chewy, yet tender, making them a great base for all the accompanying ingredients.

What truly sets Cilantro Noodle apart, though, is the way they combine bold flavors without overwhelming the taste buds. The chefs here focus on striking a delicate balance between savory, sweet, and spicy. For example, the cilantro noodle is often paired with a light, savory broth or sauce that enhances the noodles rather than masking their flavor. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating the ideal balance of tastes that leave you wanting more.

The restaurant's cozy atmosphere also adds to the experience. It’s not overly fancy, but there's a charm to the way the space is laid out, with simple yet comfortable seating arrangements perfect for casual dining. The staff is friendly and efficient, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. You can tell the team behind Cilantro Noodle takes pride in their work, and they’re always happy to offer recommendations or chat about the different dishes.

What’s also great about this place is the variety of options available. While the cilantro noodle is undoubtedly the star of the show, there are plenty of other dishes that keep the menu exciting. From stir-fried rice to dumplings, everything is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. For those who enjoy a little heat, there are spicy noodle options that are sure to hit the spot without being overwhelmingly hot. Plus, there are always some vegetarian-friendly dishes on the menu, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences.

As someone who's visited a fair number of Asian restaurants in the area, I can confidently say that Cilantro Noodle is one of the standouts in Charlotte. The flavors are complex yet approachable, and the presentation of the dishes is always spot on. The cilantro noodle, in particular, is something you don't often find at other restaurants in the city, making it a standout dish worth trying.

If you’re someone who loves to explore new restaurants or are simply looking for a reliable spot to grab a tasty meal, this diner should definitely be on your radar. The fusion of flavors and quality ingredients makes Cilantro Noodle a memorable choice for any foodie. Plus, with its casual vibe and friendly staff, it's a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family.

First time trying this place out and was pleasantly surprised. I usually try to avoid this area especially during lunch time because of parking. Visited on a Wednesday around 12:30pm and there was actually plenty of side street parking as well as parking in their lot. No wait inside. You go up to their tablets and place your order. They will call your order out once its ready or if you're sitting outside, they will bring it out to you. I ordered their build your bowl. Noodles, chicken, cucumbers, jalapeΓ±os, cilantro, etc and it comes with an eggroll. The portion is pretty big so good for the pricepoint. Overall very delicious and wouldn't mind coming back to try out some of their other menu options. Everyone was super pleasant and efficient. Not busy at all ao that worked well for me.

We ordered dinner delivery one night, and we had a solid meal. Pricing was fair for portion size and quality. Everything tasted great and was still warm by the time it got to us. I would love to eat another meal here next time I visit Charlotte!

Super friendly staff, cafeteria style BY options. Spring rolls are huge, so is the meat portion in the banh mi, and the lemongrass pork is incredible. Spicy chicken is legit spicy watch out.

Really great food! I actually have never seen a pho set up like theirs, but it's really good all in all. They put less noodles than usual, which I like bc I don't want more noodles than soup. Broth is yummy and really no need for Sriracha or hoisen. I tried their green goddess drink it was really light and yummy. I would go again just to try all their drinks.

My best friend and I come here pretty often! We love pho but I also enjoy the spring rolls and vermicelli bowls. Everything is always fresh and service is typically quick as well. 100/10

Food was pretty good. I ordered cilantro wings, fried calamari, build your own spring rolls with garlic shrimp, and potstickers. All was very good. The Rice bowl my wife ordered was very tasty as well and was probably the star of the meal. We'll have to go back to try the Pho. My only knock on Cilantro is that I don't like that it's not a "traditional service" style restaurant. When I think Pho and stuff I think comfort food and like to sit and have a server. Here you order at the counter. That's the only thing I didn't like.
